‘Where’s The Third Floor?’

In August of 2026, I released the last collection of music I wrote during my time at Humber College. This collection of music mixes originals with some of my favorite standards that have influenced me. I tried my best to write tunes that would give musicians the familiar feeling of playing jazz standards. Playing standards with my friends always makes me feel like I can really stretch when I improvise, and I wanted my tunes to have that quality.

Each song is a little tribute to the people and places that shaped this time in my life. Eric Liang on piano, Devin Patten on bass, and Keith Barstow on drums bring the tunes to life. The two standards are two personal favourites that I played a lot with my friends in the band. My own compositions are playful and light, leaving plenty of room for everyone in the band to speak their mind. I wanted to make a record that swung but stayed true to me and my experiences. I hope you enjoy ‘Where’s The Third Floor?’

‘Viridescent’

In July 2024, I released a short EP of original compositions written during my time at Humber College. ‘Viridescent’ is my first foray into recorded music. This EP features musicians I’m so grateful to have played with and studied with throughout my musical journey. The band features Sam Dickinson on the guitar, who provides lush textures and tasteful solos, Mike Downes, who’s a rock, always making sure the music grooves while keeping it light and nimble, and Mateo Mancuso, who never fails to bring intensity, dynamics, and passion to everything he plays. The goal with the EP was to capture the chemistry of the quartet while staying true to the song-like quality of my tunes. I wanted my tunes to stand alone as good songs, but also allow for - in the words of one of my heroes, Joe Lovano - the creation of music within the music. I hope you enjoy the music!
